Faith in Action
Spiritual Life Center facilitates an annual Faith In Action
fall study series. During the seven-week series, weekly in-home
study groups meet using a recently published book as a vehicle
for spiritual growth. Each week, the Sunday lesson is developed
utilizing the book which sets the framework for the personal reading
and home study groups. See Faith in Action Events for calendar
of events.
Organized
study groups meet in the homes of congregants who volunteer as
home hosts for the seven-week period. Groups of 10 to 12 people
meet weekly to pray, meditate, study and discuss the principles
in the chosen book. These small groups offer a safe, intimate
environment for self-realization and growth in a supportive atmosphere
of like-minded spiritual seekers.
The
journey is completed on Gratitude Sunday, the
Sunday proceeding Thanksgiving, when we as a congregation make
our commitments to support Spiritual Life Center's programs and
services with our tithes of time, talent, and treasures in the
coming year.
