SLC Chaplain Program Applications Open

Spiritual Life Center's Prayer Chaplain Ministry is a service opportunity for congregants who desire to take the next step in the development of their spiritual maturity and level of commitment in their spiritual growth.

Chaplaincy helps to create community within the ministry. It is a way to extend the heart, hands and feet of the ministry in pastoral care. The Prayer Chaplain Program accomplishes all this and helps the people in the ministry to feel "connected" and in relationship with one another, while you deepen your own connection to the Divine within.

A Spiritual Life Center Prayer Chaplain is:

• Someone who is here to support you on your spiritual journey

• Someone who will create and hold a sacred space with you

• Someone who will listen to you and hold what is heard in the strictest confidence

• Someone who will pray with you         

Time commitment:

• Prayer support after services as scheduled

• Monthly Chaplain team meeting

• Attend yearly Prayer Chaplain Training

• Participation in prayer-related events

No prior experience in prayer or praying with others is required to take the Unity Chaplain training. You must have one year as community member, be willing to become a governing member of Spiritual Life Center, and be willing to deepen your spiritual path through prayer and service and make a commitment to the program.
