I am sure you’re aware that Paradise, California has been devastated by the recent wild fire. Several members of the Spiritual Life Center family have relatives or friends affected by the fire. This includes our Unity family at Unity of Oroville. A number of people have asked, “What can I do to help out?” Of course, there are organizations that are aiding the Paradise residents in a variety of ways. If you are so inclined, please support such efforts any way you can.
Spiritual Life Center has elected to work with the leadership at Unity of Oroville. The members of their team are going directly to their community to find out what their needs are and seeking to do what they can to support those needs.
Reverend Christine Bouten, former co-minister at Spiritual Life Center and one of our spiritual community chaplains, is coordinating our support of the Unity of Oroville’s efforts. If you would like to assist in this effort, bring your Target, Wal-Mart, Visa or AmEx gift cards to SLC over the next two weeks (by December 2) and Reverend Christine will take them to leaders at Unity of Oroville. The Unity of Oroville team will take them to the recipients or will purchase items on their behalf.
Know that each person or family will greatly benefit from your gift no matter what the amount may be. This is a great way to serve others and honor the spirit of Thanksgiving.
