Are You Repelling Your Good?

When we speak of the Kingdom, we're not referring to someplace far, far away or an idyllic setting we go to when we shuffle off this mortal coil. The Kingdom is here and now, and is the ever-expanding good that is accessible to everyone. I recall when the movie, “The Secret,” debuted and caught the attention of many people across the planet. The primary message of the film is that you "attract" what you want. Moreover, we can get anything we desire by holding fast to the belief that it will show up if we continuously think about it in a positive emotional state. It is a powerful spiritual law. However, it is incomplete, since it does not identify the inner work we must do to not only attract what we want, but to keep it once we get it.

The Kingdom is the infinite spiritual supply of the Universe. This supply is not material; it is an invisible, intangible substance. It's as spiritual as the qualities of love, peace, harmony, or beauty. To attract and receive that spiritual substance, we must vibrate at the same frequency as the qualities we wish to attract. Thus, to receive the good of our heart’s desire, we must start from within and treat ourselves as if we are in the position to accept the blessings that are God's good pleasure to give us. We do that by seeing ourselves as being on a training program. We are training the Universe how to treat us by how we treat ourselves. It begins by accepting, on a profound level, that we not only deserve the best, but we are the best of what God offers.

This acceptance is not about ego or being humanly selfish. It is divinely selfish, in that we are all magnificent expressions of the creator. If we act from that space, we put ourselves in the position to receive all the good of the Universe. If we do otherwise, we end up blocking our good because we are training the Universe to respond to us as if we are not worthy to receive that good. We want to take the time to treat ourselves well. We're not talking about pampering our ego. Instead, we’re using compassionate and spiritual hands, taking time with ourselves, talking to ourselves nicely, encouraging ourselves, and loving ourselves.

A few weeks ago, on my birthday, I did something I hadn’t done in over twenty years. I had a pedicure and a manicure. I had no idea how good it would feel. I felt as if I had a personal appointment with the Presence. The point is, I decided to treat myself well. As a result, I enrolled the Universe in my training program as to how to treat me.

It is impossible to accept the goodness of the Kingdom, and what God's pleasure is to give us, if we are not training the Universe to respond to how we want to be treated. It is inconceivable to walk around not giving ourselves enough love, encouragement, and care and then expect the Universe or anyone else to respond with those qualities. The Universe would be acting out of its lawful nature. The Universe acts lawfully by responding to the nature of the song within our hearts. If we are not playing the song of God in our hearts, then God cannot move into our hearts and give us what it’s his pleasure to provide. That’s because, on an energetic level, we cannot accept it.

So, to receive your good, make sure you are treating yourself well.

Peace and Blessings,

James
