PLEASE JOIN US IN PERSON at SLC: 2201 PARK TOWNE CIRCLE ON Saturday MARCH 21, 2026 (3rd Saturday of the month) from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Let’s gather and welcome each other at 9am for coffee or tea and enjoy the fellowship as Rick Mercer guides us through a process of DISCOVERING A SENSE OF PLACE. “A lot of us have never stayed in one place long enough to learn about it…”
Preservation of diversity in the face of global industrial monoculture is one of the prime ethical tenets of our time says David McCloskey…
If we could think locally, we would take better care of things than we do now. The right local questions and answers will be the right global ones. The Amish question, “what will this do for our community?” tends toward the right answer for the world. (Wendell Berry)
Rick has been a member of SLC since the year 2000, is a former prayer chaplain, former member of the Sustainability Ministry, former member of the Facilities committee, former board member, worked on five Habitat for Humanity projects and was ordained as an Interfaith minister in 2010 by The New Seminary NYNY.
Please join us for insight and refreshments as we once again gather to learn more about and DISCUSS this important topic: conserving our fragile environment and how each of us can make a difference.
Peace and blessings,
Co-facilitators:
Rev. Rick Mercer and Rev. Paul Sanchez
