In week 3 of our Faith in Action series based on the book We Were Made for These Times: 10 Lessons on Moving Through Change, Loss, and Disruption by Kaira Jewel Lingo, we contemplate the possibility of moving through the dark nights of the soul with acceptance, not avoiding or resisting pain but instead learning to open to it, and letting it be just as it is. Developing faith in ourselves to endure and persevere when we think we have reached our limit, we learn how to weather the storms of our tempestuous times.
