Sunday Colors: Black, White, & Gold
Taoism has had such a profound impact on New Thought, and yet so few western practitioners of New Thought
really understand this mystical and practical spiritual path that flowed out of China. This Sunday at SLC, we will
not only explore Taoism, but we will see ways to apply many of these ancient truths in our modern lives.
In-person at Spiritual Life Center:
2201 Park Towne Circle, Sacramento, CA 95825
or
Online on YouTube: Watch the Livestream here.

How these colors were chosen:
Black: Represents Water and Yin. In the Daodejing, Laozi notes "keep the black", making it the ultimate color of
the Dao (the source of the universe).
White: Represents Metal and Yang. It symbolizes purity, clarity, and the shedding of worldly desires.
Purple: Represents the supreme spiritual hierarchy and is tied to the myth of Laozi riding his ox through the
western pass in a purple cloud. High-priests wear purple during rituals.
