The Unconditional Love of Divine Mother

As Mother’s Day approaches, I thought about the time early in my legal career when I represented minors in juvenile court cases. Invariably, I would speak with my client’s parents, usually the mother, about their child’s case and explain the allegations against their son or daughter.

In one instance, I explained the details of the charges against her son to the mother. The allegations were serious and there appeared to be a lot of evidence, including eyewitnesses and damning physical evidence, that supported the charges. Based on the reports, at least on paper, the charges against my young client would be difficult, if not impossible, to dispute.

Despite what appeared to be overwhelming evidence that the young man committed the alleged offenses, the mother proclaimed with certainty and conviction, “That’s not my child!”

As I look back on that experience with that mother, I realize the mother was not saying her son didn't do it; she was saying that was not his true character. No matter the accusations and the missteps he had made, the mother knew the truth about her son. The mother maintained unwavering unconditional love and support for her son despite overwhelming evidence of wrongdoing. The mother in her heart knew her son's true God given character, and nothing could persuade her otherwise.

Many of us may not have had a mother on this earthly plane like my client's. However, all of us have a Divine Mother presence that believes in us no matter what missteps we have made in life, what horrible things we think we have done, or what our setbacks or failures have been. Divine Mother is saying to us, "That's not my child! My child. The truth about my child is they are a magnificent expression of the Divine and born as an original blessing."

Being an original blessing is how the Divine Mother always sees us. This vision applies to us as individuals and the collective children of God. So, when we see the negativity and the world of appearances blasted at us through the various forms of media, we hear the Divine Mother energy telling us in so many words, “I did not make that. That’s not who you are.”

That unconditional love of the Divine is the same vibration we must carry whenever we see any negativity about ourselves or our world, and say, "God did not create that. That is not the truth about who and what we are."

When we accept our spiritual identity, we open ourselves to the flow of being divinely mothered, whether we have an earthly mother we can turn to. We avail ourselves to Spirit’s appreciation, gratitude, and unconditional love that is forever seeking to flow to, through, and as us. We remember we are and always have been the perfect image and likeness of absolute joy creation.

So, as we celebrate Mother's Day, remember that no matter what has ever happened in your life or what you have done or failed to do, you will always be the apple in the eye of God who has come to twinkle and shine. That's how Divine Mother sees us now and forever.

Peace and Blessings,

James
